The self-propelled TurfTeq^TM Power Edger SP enables easy operation for continuous use without operator fatigue, and performs the following jobs:

Fitted with the appropriate guard, the Power Edger SP1 can utilise the bed edger blade, bed opener blade and four different trenching blades (more under development). The design allows for quick change of both the blade and the guard.

Bed Grooming

Clean Cutting Disc Blade

• The serrated disc blade creates a very neat border by slicing the turf edge and restoring the gulley profile.
• Minimizes soil disturbance, enabling edge clean-up several times a season without re-mulching.
• Slices the soil up to 5" deep.
• Enables easy clean-up of sliced edge debris.

Variable Angle Disc Blade for Optimum Performance

• Disc angle is easily adjustable for contouring edges with tight turns such as tree ringing.
• Narrow angle of blade creates clean slice to lightly groom existing bed.
• Wider angle operation cleans up rough bed edges.

Golf Bunker Edging

• Quickly restores neat golf bunker edges.
• Concave blade packs and polishes soil, thus strengthening the edge.
• Cuts through grass runners.
• Standard blade cuts down to 5in (125mm) depth.
• Works on all but the steepest golf bunker edges
• Grooms an average golf bunker in around 2 minutes.

Bed Opening

• Aggressive trench action cuts cleanly through any ground conditions including roots and other obstructions.
• Re-defines badly damaged edges, or creates the outine of new beds.
• Quickly creates and restores rings around trees.
• Pulverizes residue and places it in bed area.
• Cuts and clears contoured trench edge, leaving bed ready for mulching.
• Cuts 7" wide and up to 5" deep.
• This blade has a fixed width with variable depth.
• Cutting speed - up to 100 ft./minute.

Trenching

• Easily and quickly create shallow trenches of various widths and depths; see table below.

  • Installing path or lawn edging; log roll, irrigation pipes, low tension cables, rabbit fencing etc.
  • Creating drainage to relieve trouble spots, e.g. golf fairways.
  • Rapid planting of tree whips, bulbs etc.
